About Us

Serving Our Community Since 1982

The Oak Cliff Fire Protection District has proudly served the residents of southern Logan County, Oklahoma, since 1982. What began as a small group of dedicated volunteers operating out of a converted garage has grown into a modern combination fire department committed to protecting the lives and property of those we serve.

Today, Oak Cliff Fire Protection District provides emergency response, fire suppression, rescue services, emergency medical response, fire prevention, and public safety education throughout approximately 38 square miles of southern Logan County. Our firefighters respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with professionalism, compassion, and a commitment to excellence.

In 2013, the department transitioned from an all-volunteer organization to a combination fire department staffed by both career and volunteer firefighters. This model allows us to provide a higher level of service while preserving the strong volunteer tradition upon which our department was founded.

As our community has grown, so has the demand for emergency services. Between 2015 and 2025, Oak Cliff's annual call volume increased from 762 calls to 1,228 calls—an increase of more than 60 percent in just ten years. This growth reflects the continued development of our district and reinforces our commitment to investing in training, equipment, and personnel to meet the evolving needs of our community.

As a Title 19 Fire Protection District, Oak Cliff is governed by an elected Board of Directors and is committed to responsible stewardship of public resources. Every decision we make is guided by our mission to provide exceptional emergency services while being accountable to the citizens we serve.

Whether responding to structure fires, motor vehicle collisions, medical emergencies, severe weather, hazardous conditions, or mutual aid requests, our firefighters are prepared to answer the call. We take pride in serving not only our district but also supporting neighboring communities through strong regional partnerships and mutual aid agreements when additional resources are needed.

The Oak Cliff Fire Protection District is more than a fire department—we are your neighbors, your first responders, and your partners in public safety. We are honored to serve this community and remain committed to earning the trust of our residents through preparedness, professionalism, integrity, and service above self.
