The all volunteer Oak Cliff Fire Protection District was created in 1982 by the residents of Oak Cliff Estates when they saw a need for fire protection in their area. In their first year of service the volunteers of Oak Cliff responded to 183 calls from a converted garage.
In 2013 The Oak Cliff Fire District officially became a combination fire department consisting of a mixture of full time career and volunteer fire fighters.
In 2017 the fire fighters of Oak Cliff responded to 803 calls. Operating out of two fire stations with twelve apparatus and covering 38 square miles in Southern Logan County, Oklahoma.
